During the early 1970s, the martial arts scene exploded in popularity, largely due to Bruce Lee’s groundbreaking films. One of his notable co-stars in Enter the Dragon was Jim Kelly, an African American martial artist who quickly became a star in his own right. Known for his impressive fighting skills and charismatic presence, Kelly went on to headline several martial arts films, including The Tattoo Connection. In The Tattoo Connection, Kelly plays a former CIA agent tasked with recovering a valuable diamond in Hong Kong, which has been insured for a substantial sum. The plot is driven by the high-stakes nature of the diamond’s worth, but it's the action-packed sequences that really steal the show. Despite the film’s somewhat weak storyline, the explosive fight scenes and Kelly’s dynamic performance made it an entertaining watch, cementing his place as one of the era’s martial arts icons. With his incredible martial arts skills and cool, confident persona, Jim Kelly's contribution to the martial arts film boom of the '70s was undeniable, alongside other action legends like Bruce Lee and Hong Kong's own Tan Tao Liang, known for his spectacular Taekwondo kicks. This is the dubbed and subbed version an early Flkcinema.com project going back 15 years.
