This is the first of a series of 6 Samurai movies that became popular in the 80’s depicting a reconstructed famous manga series by Kazuo Koike, The story is about a Samurai official named Ogami Itto working for the Shogunate as an executioner, who was betrayed and framed by the Shogunate utilising the Yagyu clan. Ogami Itto’s home was invaded by Shogun Assassins to kill him and he wife was killed during the attack. He managed to escape with his young son that inevitably forced him on the path of revenge as the lone wolf and cub.
