During the Ming Dynasty, a tyrannical emperor, misled by advisors, faces rebellion from his own brother, forcing him into exile in Tibet. The throne now occupied by the rebellious brother comes under attack from loyalists. To restore the rightful ruler, the exiled emperor's brother dispatches the formidable Chief Marshall, the eunuch Chen Ho (Shih Tung Chien) and his right hand man (Kong Ban). Amidst the search, a shadowy figure emerges (Lo Lieh), orchestrating a sinister plot with deadly assassins. Unbeknownst to all, a skilled female assassin (Ivy Ling Po) infiltrates Chen Ho's ranks in a male guise, adding another layer of mystery and danger to the quest for power.
