Good suggestion Whirlwind however this is not going to be anything with the similarities to a DATABASE....this is more on the level of a end result that leads to a book and I wanted all non-AMRS members to take part....at the end of it all we will have to name this book and I really wanted to keep this separate from AMRS.

I fully agree with Whirlwind... the database is planned to expand beyond AMRS in the near future and this is exactly what it was set up to do. I am glad we have people that support the ethos, but suggest we work together.

yeah mate this is up my street I can come up with nuff ideas mate trust me stick my name down pete jr me ol son. Sorry i never joined that amrs wiki site hwang jang lee mate but I'm a bit on the old side geetting stuck in to another forum mate I just about have the spare time to get on Flk mate. Trust me I think this is a diferent ball game to what pete jr is on about with this his old man was the one who kicked him off with this idea back at the shop. Ol pete sr wanted for years to knock out a kung fu bible mates and I know this was one of clives (big ass collector with 5000 kung) ideas as well back in the days when he made a disc with about 3000 kung on it and he was on the tip of a bible from then.

I always loved film reference books. As a young kid I started off with the Halliwells Film Guide and started collecting anything with a 3 or 4 star rating. It would be great to cram in as many mini reviews and ratings as possible. And to do so we could keep the format as simple as possible e.g:

Original title
Aka
Year
Director
Cast
Rating
Short, one or two line summary of the film.
Alternate versions
Actual screenshots

I think the most important thing now is for the forum tech guys to decide how the format will work, then hopefully we'll all have valuable contributions to make. In my eyes this is the best type of project: fans doing something for fellow fans.
